In a marathon, it’s important to remember that you can’t get to the finish line without taking steps. One at a time and eventually, if you keep doing what you need to do, you’ll reach that finish line.
I know that this is what my life is now about. I officially started getting myself healthier on the 3rd January. I’m now 15 days in.
Results so far:
7kg lost. That’s 15.5lb gone. I do realise that weightloss is pretty easy at the beginning and then slows down.
I’ve exercised in some way or another at least 3 days a week, whether that was walking or swimming.
And I’m motivated.
As of today, I’ve hit the goal for my both the DietBet “Fatgirlfedup’s Year of Transformation Kickoff” and month one of the “2019 Lasting reSOLUTIONs.” I will NOT lose money!
I saw a meme the other day which really made me realise something. It said
Make 2019 your year. 0.5lb per week = 1st 12lb lost in the year 1lb per week = 3st 10lb 1.5lb per week = 5st 8lb 2lb per week = 7st 6lb 2.5lb per week = 9st 4lb
In real “Aly terms” this means that if I can lose 2lb a week, I could be at my goal weight in just 42 weeks! That takes me to 25th October. That’s really exciting for me! And actually, if you count the fact that I’ve already lost 15lb… That’s 35 weeks time which is 6th September!
I am going on holiday in a couple of weeks and plan to stay on track. We will see!
Onwards and upwards as they say – or should I say downwards?!
