Checking in, but doing ok!

I’m still going…

I’ve had a huge stall again, but this time, I really don’t mind. I’m feeling better about myself.

When I wrote the last post I was 10lb heavier than I am now, but I’m 2 stone lighter than I was when I started Keto back on the 11th August 2019. Since January, I’ve lost a total of 50lb, 3st 7lb, 22.6kg!!!

I haven’t lost weight as quick as I did back in 2003, but that’s ok! I’m now 16 years older. My metabolism will have slowed down.

This is the first time that I’ve stayed focused on weightloss for the entire year. I’m so proud of myself.

I may not be at target, and in fact may still be a long way from my target, but I know I’m still fighting the fight, and I’m still enjoying it.

I will fight on to lose the remaining 55lb. If it takes me another year or more, so be it.

I’m loving this way of eating!

I wanted to revisit my reasons for losing weight…

Why did I want to lose this weight?

1. I want to wear my engagement and eternity rings again. – ACHIEVED

2. I want to be able to walk without my thighs chafing and ending up in excruciating pain for days. – ACHIEVED

3. I want to reach my feet to put on my socks without having to turn my leg sideways on the bed.- ACHIEVED

4. I want to reach down without my tummy getting in the way.- ACHIEVED

5. I want to look in the mirror and not see a fat person looking back. – IN PROGRESS

6. I want my clothes to fit better. – ACHIEVED

7. I want to go into a shop and buy clothes in a “normal” size without heading to the larger size section. – IN PROGRESS

8. I want more energy. – ACHIEVED

9. I want my confidence back. – IN PROGRESS

10. I want to feel good about myself again. – IN PROGRESS

I have achieved more this year than I realised. These are all non scale victories and this is exactly what this should all be about!
