When I first started this journey, I split it into mini goals.
The first goal was to get back to my prework weight. I started a new job on 22nd October last year and while I was sitting at a desk all day, I gained 1stone 2lb.
So my first goal was to get that weight off as fast as I could. I hit that target on the 24th January. My next target was the 2 stone mark.
In October the previous year, I had joined weightwatchers. I had done really well, losing just 2lb shy of 2stone by christmas. And you guessed it… over Christmas, I lost all control and gained that back, plus more however my little star chart remained on my fridge, short of those two stars.
So when I went back to basics on the 2nd January, I decided that I would use that to mark my journey. I kept those stars on, and when I lost a lb, I made a mental note that I was one step closer to being able to add another star. That came this week when I was able to add the final two stars onto this chart to show that I’d now lost 2 stone.
This is a milestone for me. For every lb I lose now, I get a new star!
I’m now 1/3 of the way to my ultimate goal, however my next mini goal is set. 3 stone. 14lb to go to this goal and I know that I’m in the right frame of mind to do it!
